How to create beautiful Mandalas

In order to create a Heptagon (7-sided polygon) we need first a circle.
Every circle has 360°, so we divide 360 by 7 = 51.43°, and therefore we know that each of the 9 points on the circle is in 51.43° distance to the next point. (See this in the animation on page 1)
51.43° is a close approximation, it serves the purpose of creating the mandala, but if you are interested in the correct mathematical construction of a heptagon please go to mathworld.wolfram.com/Heptagon.html

Now, in order to connect all 7 points on the heptagon with each other you have to make 14 strokes and will get a beautiful grid as you can see on the left. (See this in the animation on page 4)

Once the grid is created all you have to do is to fill the spaces with color, again and again, until Spirit lets you know this is the right one...:-)

Number 7

Seven is the number of completeness. It finishes; sets the final frame and meaning, like the seven chakras or the seven tones of the octave. And the seven is guiding as to a new level, into a new dimension, like the number four.

From the point of view regarding space, three is the number of "space building", four is the number of "space ideality", five is the number of "space perfection", six is the number of "space overcoming", the threshold between space (matter) and spirit, and seven is the number of "space crossing". The soul is diving slowly into the earthliness, until it reaches the deepest point possible, the four - there it changes and matures - just to let go again and to ascend back.

Seven is also the sum of 4 + 3. It is the complete connection of matter and spirit, and the symbol therefore is the house: a square (number 4, matter) and on top a triangle (number 3, spirit), spirit onto matter = heaven on earth. Seven is the symbol of a complete human and of the universe.

Seven is a cosmic number. Those who awaken within a seven, who have mastered the six, have overcome the earthbound lust and are reaching for cosmic consciousness. One who has mastered the seven lives completely in cosmic consciousness, but is still anchored to earth as the foundation. Even though this is great achievement, a human within the seven is not free of temptation, weakness, and karma, but has the key to master all this.

Seven is the holiest of all numbers (septos = holy). The world is developing in seven cycles, humans have developed into seven races. The seven is the center of the world, but also the key number of the apocalypse. The world was created in six days, on the seventh day God rested. Every process comes in seven steps. Seven good years - seven bad years. In seven days heals a wound. In seven years the human body has renewed itself. In the same rhythm our soul is evolving, visible through remarkable physical steps: age seven we change our set of teeth, with fourteen we enter puberty, with twenty-one we enter adulthood. Most people have deep crisis's, epiphanies or shaking events around their ages twenty-eight, thirty-five, forty-two, and forty-nine.
