Do you love candle-light?
Tired of buying candles?

I love candle light - and I get the desire to light a candle (or two) always when there is no candle in the house...:-)
On my last trip to Europe I found the Floating Tool and I am so very excited about it that I want to share it with you.

Light a candle whenever you want to and all you need is:

  • any kind of vessel (cup, glass, truncated plastic bottle, etc.)
  • some vegetable oil
  • little piece of a paper towel

with these ingredients you can make in less than a minute your own candle light - and if you like, make it as decorative as your fantasy allows. UNBELIEVABLE!

It's easy, it's fast, it's cheap, it's creative! I just love it!
Love and Light,
~ Angela

The floating tools never burn away, they are made of glass fiber-carbon, and can be used over and over again. Original devices are dishwasher-safe of course.

Can be used in all types of vessels for floating lights as wind lights, Christmas decoration, Easter decoration, Halloween, cocktail decoration, etc. AND of course prayers and meditation

Vessels do NOT need to be fireproof – because salad oil has a very low burning temperature, so glasses, cups, plastic, will not heat up!

Please do not use wicks ! - You may use pure (untreated) cotton-thread.

IT'S EASY TO MAKE CANDLES OUT OF WATER:

Use any vessel - this need NOT be heat resistant only water resistant!
Fill the vessel of your choice with water.
You can decorate the water with figures, stones, shells, flowers, or just food dyes...

candle light - step 1

Now pour any vegetable oil you like on top of the water. The oil floats on the top. The amount of oil determines the burn time.
1/2 inch of salad oil in a wine glass will burn for about 25 hours!
candle light - step 2

Tear off a strip about 2"x2" from a sheet of kitchen paper (cotton based), make it into a little roll, and use scissors to cut it down to 0.8" (~3/4") of length. Now insert the rolled-up kitchen paper into the center of the Floating Light (the hole is already in place - please never cut open or drill into this device!)
NEVER USE TREATED WICKS - they would burn down!

candle light - step 3

Now drop the Floating Tool into your vessel. The oil will flow through the channels of the device and onto the kitchen paper, which becomes saturated with the oil.
Your paper can never burn down or die, because the salad oil continues to flow constantly.

candle light - step 4

Done! Light the salad oil using a long lighter or match.

YOU WILL NOW ENJOY A FLAME
WITH NO SMOKE, NO SOOT AND NO SMELL !

candle light - step 5

  • Your light will keep on burning for as long as there is still salad oil in the vessel. A 1-Liter bottle of salad oil will be enough to burn for about 1000 hours!
  • If the oil in the vessel is all burned up, water flows in via the channels and puts out your flame.
  • You also can extinguish your light any time you like by submerging it (it will always pop back to the surface), there won't be any smoke when you extinguish it.
